Aqua regia separation process of gold and silver alloy
Aqua regia is a strong acid solution formed by slowly mixing concentrated hydrochloric acid and concentrated nitric acid in a volume ratio of 3:1. This solution can effectively dissolve the gold and silver alloy, thereby achieving the separation of the two.

Dissolution of gold and silver
Put the gold and silver alloy into the reactor and slowly add aqua regia. Adding acid will produce a large amount of nitrogen oxide gas.

Filtration and separation
The dissolved mixed solution is filtered to remove the silver chloride precipitate. The obtained silver chloride precipitate is repeatedly washed with distilled water to remove acidic impurities.

Recovery of gold
Sodium sulfite is added dropwise to the filtered aqua regia solution to reduce the gold ions to elemental gold.

The precipitated gold powder is washed and dried to obtain high-purity gold.
