Gold Electrolysis Refining Technology: Principles, System Design & Industrial Applications
Gold electrolytic system, including liquid making system, gold anode plate casting
system, gold electrolytic system, smelting workshop, exhaust gas treatment system,
wastewater treatment system.
Anode reaction Au oxidizes to Au³+:
Au + 4Cl⁻ → AuCl₄⁻ + 3e⁻
Cathode reaction AuCl₄⁻ accepts 3 electrons:
AuCl₄⁻ + 3e⁻ → Au + 4Cl⁻
Principle of gold electrolysis:
The current passes through the electrolyte solution or molten electrolyte, causing a
redox reaction, and the metal ions are reduced at the cathode to form a metal element.
The reaction between the anode and the cathode, the electron transfer:
1. Traditional gold electrolysis: refers to electrolytic metallurgy, that is, extracting gold
from crude gold or compounds by electrolysis;
2. Gold electroplating: refers to other metals as cathodes, through the action of current,
the gold in the electrolyte is evenly included on the cathode;
3. Diaphragm gold electrolysis: refers to the electrolytic deposition of gold from the gold
mine leachate, using a diaphragm to isolate the anode and cathode areas to improve the
deposition efficiency.
Gold electrolysis drives the directional migration and reduction of metal ions through
electrical energy. Its core components include electrolytic cells, electrodes, electrolytes and
DC power supplies. Gold Electrolysis Refining Technology.
