Due to the scarcity of domestic platinum group mineral resources and the imbalance between supply and demand, in order to meet domestic demand, most of my country's platinum group metals come from the recycling of platinum group metal waste, such as petrochemical platinum palladium catalysts, automobile exhaust catalysts, etc. Different raw materials require different processing processes. High recovery rate of platinum, palladium and rhodium
In the process of recycling waste platinum, palladium and rhodium catalysts, some processes will oxidize a small amount of palladium into palladium oxide which is insoluble in acid and alkali. The dissolution rate is very low when using aqua regia or chlorination method directly. In addition, the stability and extremely insoluble nature of rhodium, iridium and ruthenium also result in low recovery rates of rhodium, iridium and ruthenium. We have designed a pretreatment process for this type of substance, which can effectively increase its dissolution rate and thus increase the recovery rate of precious metals.

Continuous production line operation
Our company's platinum, palladium and rhodium recovery production line has the following advantages: 1. Design of glass high-level tanks to reduce staff handling and increase production capacity. Traditional PP high-level tanks are not easy to clean, easy to get dirty, and inconvenient to observe the liquid level, resulting in unqualified product quality and large production space; the glass high-level storage tanks designed in this design meet the production requirements very well, and the glass material is transparent and easy to clean. 2. In order to facilitate the use and operation of the matching glass high-level tanks, the design of the traditional suction filter bottle is improved and changed to a horizontal filter. After the horizontal filter is filtered, the liquid guide tube is connected to the bottom and directly enters the glass high-level tank. The horizontal filter has a slight 3O inclination angle, which is convenient for vacuum extraction of a small amount of solution. Make the production process more coherent and smooth, and increase production capacity exponentially.

Reasonable exhaust design
Traditional platinum, palladium and rhodium refining is carried out in a wind cabinet. The exhaust pipe of the wind cabinet is always open. The overall design air volume design requires a large amount of air. Excessive air pressure causes precious metals to volatilize with water vapor, resulting in a high loss rate of precious metals. The full set of platinum, palladium and rhodium refining wind cabinets are sealed at the reactor mouth, and a gas-liquid separation and condensation device is installed in the temperatureless reactor to condense water vapor and allow the waste gas to directly enter the corresponding treatment pipeline. For example, in the aqua regia dissolution process, the fume hood seals the reactor. After the reaction waste gas is separated by gas-liquid condensation, the condensate containing precious metals returns to the reactor, and the nitrogen oxide waste gas directly enters the injection tower for treatment, reducing the diffusion of waste gas and maintaining a good workshop environment.
In the production and refining process, from aqua regia to finished products, all precious metal filters and storage tanks are made of glass, which is transparent and visible, and is equipped with a spray cleaning system to reduce the occupation of precious metals in the equipment.

Mature waste gas treatment technology
The company is equipped with mature precious metal refining waste gas treatment technology and multi-stage jet-type high-concentration NOx waste gas treatment equipment, including gas-liquid separators, non-oxidation pools, jet-type spray towers, etc. After treating the high-concentration NOx flue gas (~30,000 mg/m3) produced by the dissolution of platinum, palladium and rhodium, the emission concentration is less than 100 mg/m3, and the lowest can be less than 20 mg/m3.
